Major Functions
Land Use Planning
To prepare Land Use Development Control Plan (LUDCP) for the entire area under jurisdiction of BDA and to enforce the same.
Development Permission
To issue development permission under sec-45 & 46 of the West Bengal (T&CP) Act, 1979.
Development Charges
To collect Development Charges under sec 45 & 102 of W.B.T&CP Act.
Land Estimation
To estimate land for residential, commercial and industrial purpose for a planned development in the area.
Infrastructure Creation
To create infrastructure like important roads, drainage system, water supply system, sewerage system etc.
Trade & Commerce
To promote Trade, Commerce & Industries in its jurisdiction and provide a balanced and equitable growth in the region.
